London’s secret to success in the IT sector is its ability to attract and retain well-educated and skilled people. London has over 4,000 people working in the information technology industry who come from different parts of the world and varied professional experiences.
Our City is complemented by two renowned educational institutions and over 20 private training colleges that are producing the graduates demanded by today’s high technology industry.

The University of Western Ontario’s Computer Science Department, currently has over 400 students in various years of study and approximately 100 Computer Science, Masters and PhD students.
Departmental research interests include Artificial Intelligence & Logic Programming, Graphics & Image Processing, Software & Systems, Symbolic Computation and Theory of Computing. The department offers upper-level students an optional internship program that has proven to be a very effective way of linking students with local I.T. companies. In addition, the Department of Engineering offers a number of programs including: Software Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
The Richard Ivey School of Business, rated by the Financial Times of London, UK as 19th out of 100 business schools in the world and rated the top business school in Canada, graduates over 250 MBA’s every year.
Fanshawe College, known as a leader in providing industry with quality, skilled people, offers a number of programs in Information Technology including diplomas in: Business Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Programming Analyst and Computer Web Technology.
London is home to approximately 20 registered private Vocational Schools. Several of these schools focus exclusively on I.T. training, providing intensive instruction in a relatively short period of time.
