London is wellknown for its strength in education and proud to be home to Fanshawe College, The University of Western Ontario and several private training facilities. This training capacity creates a workforce with the skills required to meet industry needs.
Fanshawe offers diploma and degree co-op programs in Science Laboratory Technology, with specialties in physical chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology and industrial and food chemistry. The college also offers an applied degree in biotechnology.
Western offers a Clinical Research Coordinator Program, one of only two in Canada that addresses the learning needs of clinical research professionals. It also offers a Bachelor of Medical Sciences Program, an HBA in Health Science, and a graduate program in Biomedical Engineering. Medix School provides practical and focused training diploma programs relevant to employers in the life sciences field. Continuing education programs are also available.
